How do the Apple Watch “In Play” screens work?

The Play input screens on the Apple Watch capture point data regarding:

  • The last shot the user hit – Shot screen

This is the screen where the user captures the result of the serve.

The input here is always based on the perspective of who is serving (the person with the * next to their name on the Apple Watch scoreboard).

Return screen

This screen describes what happened during the return or whether the serve in play was an Ace or Un-returnable.

It is always from the perspective of the returner (the person without the * next to their name on the Apple Watch scoreboard).

Shot screen

This screen describes the last shot played.  This screen is always from the perspective of the User of GameSetStat (the person inputting the data into their Apple Watch).

Result screen

This screen describes the result (or outcome) of the last shot played.  This screen is always from the perspective of the User of GameSetStat (the person inputting the data into their Apple Watch).

  • Suspend – Suspends the match and goes back to the main menu of the Apple Watch app.
